Position Overview
As a Tax Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in tax preparation, planning, and financial reporting under the guidance of experienced CPAs and tax professionals. This role is ideal for students pursuing accounting, finance, or related fields who are eager to learn, contribute to meaningful client work, and explore a potential career in tax advisory and retirement planning.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of individual, business, and trust tax returns using professional tax software.
- Conduct tax research and summarize findings for internal discussions or client meetings.
- Support client onboarding and documentation for tax planning engagements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with advisors and support staff to gather and organize financial data.
- Participate in client meetings (as appropriate) to observe planning and strategy discussions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and firm-wide projects.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.

Qualifications

- Eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior internship or accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
